Set Up Payment Methods

There are two main ways to pay for gifts on Goody.

Credit Card: When using a credit card for a Goody gift, you will be charged the full original gift cost after the gift is accepted. If a gift expires without being accepted, you are never charged.

Credit cards are only on the individual account level. They can be added from Payment Methods. Credit card charges are batched into 3 charges per week maximum.

Balance: You can pre-fund the full value of your gift with Balance. This option is typically easier for expense processes, as it can be one bulk sum requested via invoice or paid via credit card. If a gift expires without being accepted, the gift value gets returned to your balance for future gifts.

For individual users, Balance can be added on the Payment Methods page. To allocate Balance to other people, use Budgeting. Balance can't be used for Smartlinks.

Budgeting

If pre-funding your gifts, you can allocate those funds on the organization, Workspace, or individual level from the Budgeting page.

Budgets can be allocated once or on an ongoing monthly or quarterly basis.
